01.19.12 back 2 the flowers

The third time is the charm. I really felt like if I stayed with this subject I could make something special. I'm very proud of this image. I knew I wanted to try it on a white background and when my son suggested in after looking at my black background set up I knew I had to do it. It took three days and lots of experiments. Plus I learned a ton and loved every minuet of it. I'm really excited about how the flowers pop and the detail is almost startling when I view at full resolution. Shot on a Canon 5D with a 70-200mm. Three lights: one light in front and close to the flowers; one small highlight light from behind the flowers; and a large light directed on the white background. Shot 12 exposures assembled in HDR Efex Pro.
